Bush stands firm on Iraq, as Iran says it's been called on to help

BAGHDAD : US President George W. Bush has vowed to stay the course in Iraq but in a sign of the strain facing the US-led coalition, Iran said that Washington had appealed for its help to end fierce clashes in the country and a spate of damaging kidnappings.

"The consequences of failure in Iraq would be unthinkable," Bush told a rare press conference late Tuesday in which he sought to answer charges that his policy on Iraq was faltering after days of fierce fighting there.

1. "The consequences of failure in Iraq would be unthinkable,"
Too bad he didn't think of that BEFORE he plunged Iraq into chaos by commiting a war crime against it!

Bush should be sitting in the same prison Milosevic is in, awaiting trial on multiple war crimes charges, and if Kerry wins, he should make sure it happens - although I ain't holding my breath.
