Ted Kennedy's joke at Kerry's Boston fundraiser last night --
A second-hand account, so could vary from original version:

VP Cheney was visiting a third-grade class, and answering questions.

Billy raised his hand, and said, "I have a three-part question. First, where are the weapons of mass destruction? Second, why does Halliburton get all the business in Iraq? Third, how much will the new Medicare bill cost?"

Suddenly, the recess bell rang, and all the kids went outside to play.

After recess, and back in the classroom, Tommy raised his hand, and said to VP Cheney, "I have a five-part question. First, where are the weapons of mass destruction? Second, why does Halliburton get all the business in Iraq? Third, how much will the new Medicare bill cost? Fourth, why did the recess bell ring thirty minutes early today, and fifth, what happened to little Billy?"

1. He really said that?
It's a great joke, I've heard it before.

2. An oldie, but a goodie
Variations of this have been going around for the past 2 years. I'm sure the RW talk show hosts will foam at the mouth now that TK told the joke.

3. It's made the rounds on the net already.
I read it several weeks ago online.

4. HAHAHAHA...
oh man that was great! sent that to a devoted republican here at work who 'entertained' me this morning with a Kerry joke (something about skiing on both sides of the slope and hurting himself...blah!)

5. Funny, I heard it where Bush was answering the questions
However Cheney does have that sinister quality about him. Mind if I put it on my rethug joke page?

Here's another good one.

George W. Bush was campaigning at an old age retirement home. He went up to a woman and shook her hand and said "Do you know who I am?"
"No," replied the old woman, "but if you go to the front desk, they'll tell you!"

7. Thanks Ted, thanks DeepModem Mom
Here's another joke in return.

George W. Bush was taking a bored John McCain on a tour of his sprawling Texas Cattle Ranch. Suddenly a big bull grunted and passed gas. The two were enveloped in a rather large cloud of manure vapors.
"John", Bush drawled, "I apologize profusely for the the smell of bullshit".
"Oh, that's alright", said McCain, for a minute I thought it was the bull.
