Are there liberal counterparts to Crowley, Roberts, Williams etc.?

I know that we have liberal talking heads like Alterman and Franken to balance "theirs" like Hannity and O'Reilly. I don't begrudge the wingers their self-defined spokesmen (although O'Reilly pretends he's not one.) But many of us begrudge the RNC for having loyal supporters in the ranks of supposedly objective journalists: the whole crew at Fox News, Lisa Myers, Cokie Roberts, Judy Woodruff, and a host of others. Over and over we see them inject RNC talking points into their supposedly neutral news coverage. But I can't think of a single example on our side. That is, someone who poses as disinterested and objective but actually is a Democratic propagandist. Don't even know who the wingers *imagine* as such.

MAYBE Peter Jennings, Dan Rather, Aaron Brown, Jane Pauley, Katie Couric are actually on our side. But they don't show it in the blatant, naked way that e.g. Judy Woodruff shows that she isn't. Can anyone offer any examples whose left bias is constantly on display despite a pretense of objectivity?

So there you have it -- an entire coporate-run media, and 24 hours of hate radio all over the AM dial, versus the occasional arched eyebrow of Peter Jennings.
