http://www.bluebus.org/archives/20040412_kerry_renews_ca.php

"Anyone who believes Kerry is a idiot... Here is another one of his "Let me help you out" promises.. Where does all of this money come from? The taxpayers! The rich pay for 90% of the taxes in this country and should get an immediate 10% tax reduction. Let the middle class pay for a change... The extra money from a tax savigns goes right into the economy.. Whoever believes in Kerry needs to get their ass down to a college and take Economics 101. Democrats will never see the light of day in office again.

Most of the economic problems facing us today were caused by Clinton. Most of the corporations in this country paid 0 taxes during the clinton era, pushing the burden onto Joe Taxpayer.

Get a life! Kerry will fuck the economy up more than Clinton did, and it will take another republican to fix it! If you want everything handed to you on a silver platter, move to canada!"

5. What sick thinking!
The rich pay for 90% of the taxes in this country

Hmmm... the top 1% owns more than the bottom 95%. They should be paying more than the bottom 95%. They certainly are NOT using their money to create jobs. They are using it to create more wealth for themselves.

6. .
So at first he complains that the super rich pay too much and that the middle class should "pay more for a change".
Then he blames Clinton that many companies didn't pay any taxes at all. And who had to pay for it? Joe Sixpack or the "normal" guys...
:wtf:
Great logic there, well done.

7. Pukes have tunnel vision
A good response would be when in his lifetime and under what administration did he experience the most growth in his own personal finances. These fuckers made so much money on the dot.com boom and the stock market under Clinton it is ridiculous.

9. Clinton f*cked up the economy? Who knew?
And here I thought we had eight years of peace and prosperity under Bill. Guess I was wrong. Yeah, things are MUCH better now.

Did Chimpy and Pickles pay a 90% tax rate for 2003? I thought it was more like 28%....

I guess my high marks in graduate econ were just flukes...

11. "Looks like we've got some lurking Freepers!!!"
I think I have visited FR maybe 10 times in my life. And everyone of those times was in response to a post that said "look at what they are saying at FR" or something like that. The times that I have been there have been less that enlightening.

Furthermore their board is so frigin antique and difficult to follow. I guess I am just spoiled here.

I would much rather spend time at the site where my interests are addressed. If there are an abundance of freepers lurking and trolling here, you need to get a life. Or better yet go do some research and provide something valuable to your own site.

And by the way, bite me.

14. Let Freepers lurk
At least they are the people who are exposing themselves to differing points of view. The scariest people are those who never look at anything outside their own little echo-chamber.

22. Why doesn't *he* get his ass to economics 101?
Then he might know that it's a *fact* that no one has ever been able to show a correlation between taxes and the economy. What little evidence there is, suggests that higher taxes, when spent properly, may actually *help* the economy.

16. I got my ass down to a college and took and took Econ 101
as well as 102 and several more. In many of them we discussed the supply side theories. Even the most ardent supporters were unable to find any actual data that supports even a 1:1 relationship between revenue lost to tax cuts and new revenue resulting from the investment of those tax cuts. The best anyone could come up with was .71:1 and that was pretty darn rare (I wish I could find the site for that ratio someplace, but it's escaped me ever since). Getting better than 1:1 is a complete chimera.

Other than the supply side faithful even conservative economists have decided that it should have been called the Laugher Curve.

17. OTOH, "trickle up" economics can be shown to have compound ...
... benefits. Possibly the best example of "trickle up" is the post-WW2 GI Bill. It doubled the size of higher education, and more than doubled the residential construction industry. The enormous increase in tax-paying jobs probably paid for the GI Bill fifty times over. Futher, an educated workforce creates wealth ... a wealth that went to creating the largest increase in millionaires in any nation's history.

I thought it was part of our missoinary work, trying to fidn that freeper with a still functioning frontal lobe that can be converted.

as for his 'facts"..the rich pay 90% of taxes?! That may be true. My name is RICH and God knows I am paying quite a bit in taxes. problem is, i am by no means wealthy.
