Brent Scowcroft on PBS

I just heard Brent Scowcroft say that "in the end" we'll have to bring the Arab countries into a solution of the Iraq situation. Brent, Bubeleh, "in the end" is much too late. We need to have them there last year, before this ratf**k of an occupation began, and if we couldn't get them on board, ditch the whole idea. At least, that's the answer a pragmatic, non-partisan-hack would give.

1. it will be refered to as "arabization" of the conflict.

as in the "vietnamization" of a past conflict.

the moderate arab world will have no choice but to come in to iraq. the US has fucked it up so bad that even the arab leaders will come to realize that not to act will be worse for them than participating.

this will be hailed in washington as a sign of bush's leadership. no kidding.
