I am sure that it has been mentioned, but couldn't find it. But did
the 911 Commission ask Ashcroft why he began flying private instead of commercial in the summer of 2001. And, if so, what was his response? Thanks in advance.

2. ashcroft drops a bomb
someone should demand his reciepts for those 'commercial' flights he took...

well, based on what he said it seems that Jamie Goerlick should be on the other side of the table being questioned. something's amiss.

4. Simple sabotage-- divert and obfuscate
Ashcroft is guilty a dozen ways to Sunday of not only ignoring the terrorist threat, but of actively opposing attempts to fight it. He's lobbing grenades at non-neocons on the Commission to undermine its findings, which he knows will cost him his job (and therefore his divine mission!) if people accept them. When the report states baldly that Bush, Ashcroft and Rice were derelict, they will point at Gorelick and say "BIAS!" and Congress will have an excuse to not act on it (just as they refused to act on VP Gore's Commission on Airlin Safety-- an act that would have clearly prevented 9-11, too)

The Republican Congress is just as dirty as Bush and Ashcroft, and for much longer, with their impeachment nonsense. They will be only to happy to conclude that reams of evidence, hours of testimony, and the bi-partisan conclusion of this Commission are biased and unreliable.

And the Republican PR Department (the media) will be more than happy to spin it that way. If they had any integrity to start with, the headlines on every paper today would have been "LIAR BUSH TOO STUPID TO BE PRESIDENT!" after last night's performance. Any other opinion is dishonest.

I can't believe this is America. George Washington would want off the dollar bill if he were alive.

I looked but can't find a copy of the transcript of his testimony online.

Google says it should be here, but this gets a page not found message.
