Pat Buchanan for Kerry VP.
I think that ticket would inspire. A divided country working out it's problems and actually having a dialogue.

Go Pat Go!

16. That's correct. He's considered to be conservative on social issues.

10. It's really not sarcasm.
I respect Pat for his principled stands, whether I agree with them or not. He speaks for a reasonalbe section of people, and is anti-war and anti-Nafta. He's for the American dream (the original non-neconned version of it)

We would get 15 percent of the Bush crowd if he ran.

Plus, I think he was deep throat.

6. I do wonder at this point...
If Buchanan were to jump in and run as a third party candidate again, do you think he would take more votes from the Left or the Right this time?

27. Pat would take away from both sides, more the right
He's a non-neocon rightie. He blames the actions of the state of israel on a lot of stuff. He's been resolutely and principally anti-war.

His stand on immigration isnt cool. He is a gentleman. I wish he'd run against bush and make an ass of himself at a gop convention like he did in 1992

18. He wouldn't do the crazy things Bush allowed to happen.
He'd put his foot down on a lot of our intervensionist foreign policy. He'd probably serve a LOT of the goals that we liberals like to claim as our own. Pat is a great thinker, and I admire him. I practice my arguements as if I was going to have to convice HIM I'm right, so I know they'll be good arguements.

Pat is a Patriot, a real one, one worthy of forming an alliance with, however temporary.

22. How about an actual Democrat for VP?
This is satire, right? If not, let's just put the crack pipe down ... Buchanan is somewhere to the right of Darth Vader. It's true he's given some good speeches, though they probably sounded better in the original German. But this is nuts. First McCain was suggested, then Arlen Sphincter, and now Pat "Brownshirt" Buhnanan?? Please! There are so many spectacularly qualified people in the Democratic Party -- Wes Clark, Richard Holbrooke, Max Cleland, just to name a few -- why on earth would anybody suggest some rigt-wing Repiglican? Is our self-hatred that deep? Jeez!!!

25. Sorry, guys, I just like Pat.
I know it won't work, but Pat is an honorable guy. Having people like him around that I disagree with but I still respect means that our country isn't dead yet.

I don't think the Paleocons want to destroy the world and create an empire out of it. I think they'd just like to argue with us over gay marriage and abortion. And those are issues that will always be there.

They don't want to screw up the planet to the point that we can't have these arguements.

I say, "TEMPORARY ALLIANCE". We fight out the culuture war after we make sure the country belongs to the people and not the privileged.

Compasionate Nazism?

Buchanan? You've got to be kidding me. I wasn't aware that the Democratic party was desperate to court the KKK vote.
