OK, the McCain thing seemed serious for about 5 seconds, but Pat "let's build a wall" Buchanan? Come on people smell the glove of trolls already!

/sarcasm on
What's next a Kerry/Benny Hinn ticket? A Kerry/Perot ticket? A Kerry/Ventura ticket? I got another one... how about a Kerry/SUV ticket? That would bring in the soccer mom vote. ;-)
/sarcasm off

Seriously, what is all this silliness? Why do people keep sticking Kerry with the most unlikely VP choices?

1. Because it's fun to do
I love to see the reactions...plus I think both McCain and Buchanan are considered honorable by most people. They're both very sincere, different kinds of politicians. They both care about something other than money.

Look, you don't have to DO anything they say to do. Just acknowledge that their point of view is there, and realize we can converge from time to time and gain some understanding with them.

Neocons won't let you do that.

3. I don't have a problem with McCain...

... I do distaste Buchanan considerably. However, they can exist as they choose, and people can and will vote for them as they choose, but that's not my point. What I'm asking is why are we spending time on considering candidate from the Republican party? Do you honestly think the Democrats will consider a cross party pairing?

It's an intriguing notion, but I don't see it really happening in the near future. It seems like a big waste of time when we should be hammering the final nails in the Democratic platform for our November run. Not freaking out over something that has less probability than a snow ball in hell.

(on edit: typo)

4. It does stink doesn't it?
There seems to be a bunch of troll feeding going on. I don't quite understand it. I've thought for a while that perhaps the disgruntled non-Kerry supporters (I'm a Dean cat myself) were bitter and were proposing these strange combinations as a form of protest.

Now, I figure that I've spent way too much time on that thought, and Occam's Razor would kill the idea anyway.

But I still don't know why this is happening. Now I have to go and get more tin-foil for my hat!
