Fox News vs. Everybody else @ Bin Laden

Has anyone noticd that when Fox refers to Bin Laden he is referred to as "UBL" With a "U" fo first name. But it seems like every other media outlet Speeks his name as "Osama". Is it one of those potatoe potato things?

...sort of a Khadafi vs Qadafy kind of thing I guess. Representing those gutteral sounds with an English letter can be a beeyotch, but I don't understand the "O" vs "U" difference in usage.

3. My understanding
is that the translation of Arabic into English is very difficult. Different number of characters, different meanings for the same characters, stuff like that. Whenever you see an Arabic name, it is usually a phonetic spelling in English.
