My son swallowed a quarter last week. Yes a quarter! I rushed him to our Doctor's office and they x-rayed his chest and throat. The quarter was lodged in his esophagous. He then had to be taken to the local hospital pediatric ward. He was admitted and prepped for a 22 mintute procedure to retrieve the quarter with a scope under general anesthesia. He came out of the procedure just fine and was given the discharge several hours later. We have the quarter which is now worth..........
