While Bush meets with Sharon: Cdn PM plans meeting with Dalai Lama
http://www.globeandmail.com/servlet/story/RTGAM.20040415.wxdalai1504/BNStory/Front/

Prime Minister Martin will meet with the Dalai Lama on April 23 ... 1 week before he meets with the imperial wizard (*) on the 30th.

Our new PM is not perfect but ya gotta love the guy for reaching out beyond his RC upbringing.

Grasshopper.

3. your PM sounds pretty cool
I attended an address by the Dalai Lama when he was in Minnesota. He was introduced by Paul Wellstone. Imagine these two great souls on the same podium.

4. Despite my wariness of Paul Martin
I am so pleased that he basically told China to get over it, despite threats of poorer trade relations if Martin went ahead to meet the Lama.
