No Polls since the press conference?
I didn't pay too much attention to the news yesterday (playing golf) but I have yet to see any poll numbers on W's press conference. I saw that there was an article in LBN earlier that said that the press conference would EMBOLDEN his supporters but not change any minds other than that.

BTW-I know this was discussed ad naseum yesterday and the night before BUT GAWD! that was a complete disaster on Tuesday night. I posted about it right after it but with two days to think about it it hit me (and conversations with others who saw it) that that had to be the single Worst public address by anyone I have ever seen-that includes nervous teenagers in high school and stoners in college. Just HORRIBLE.

So no poll numbers? Did they get something back that they don't want to report?

1. Takes a few days to do a poll correctly
need to get a good sample and run the data. Hopefully by early next week we'll see the direction.

Will sanity or stupidity prevail?

7. A new term for such spin could be "Cotton Candy"
I was ready to scream if I heard one more time how her credibility rating had CLIMBED to 46% from a low of 43%.
THIS IS STILL A NEGATIVE FOR CHRIST SAKE!

5. We've already established that Hannity will defend the Chimp regardless.
He's just so damned happy to have "a decent man" (read: Republican) in the White House.

14. The White House has poll numbers within hours of other press conferences
and on the press conferences of other people. Bush failed in his performance so miserably that you won't see the numbers.
just like the poll numbers of Rice's testimony was abysmal.

the Administration has been caught in the headlights of an oncoming vehicle (the election) and they are standing dead-still waiting for the impact.

6. I was wondering about this, too --
If they determine Condi was a hit in less than 24 hours, why are we here, two full days later, with nothing showing what a complete and utter embarassment and failure Bush was on Tuesday?
Wait, I think I answered my own question.

8. Sounds like the Pravda is still cooking and not yet finished
The Pravda Whores probably have to do a lot of cleaning and scrubbing to fix it up just right for their Imperial masters.

Christ, just when the hell did we become the New Soviet Union?(Rhetorical Question Answered: Dec. 12, 2000)

You are correct in that their absence is VERY suspicious.

Poll: Kerry Has Double-Digit Lead in N.Y.

ALBANY, N.Y. - Democrat John Kerry (news - web sites) has a hefty double-digit lead over President Bush (news - web sites) among New York state voters, according to a statewide poll released Wednesday.

The Quinnipiac University Polling Institute found Bush's approval rating had slipped to 40 percent in New York, the lowest point yet for the Republican incumbent. After the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, Bush's approval rating in New York had soared above 80 percent.

In the latest poll from the Hamden, Conn.-based institute, Kerry was favored by 53 percent of New York voters to 36 percent for Bush in a head-to-head matchup. In a November poll from Quinnipiac, conducted before the presidential primary began, Kerry led Bush, 50 percent to 42 percent.
The Republican National Convention will be held in New York City in August.
