Seriously. Not "make himself look like an ass." or anything like that. I want you to think and see if you can name one good thing Bush has done for the country.

I can't think of one!!

1. Can't. Tried before and can't think of one thing.
Really scary, actually. I can think of good things that Nixon did. I can (if I strain real hard) think of a couple nice things about Reagan.

Not Chimpy. A total zero, really.

4. Well, after ten centuries of fighting each other...
...it looks like Bush is about to end the Shiite/Sunni conflict. He's brought them closer together than they have been in a long time.

He also manage to unite Russia, China AND India last year. That's quite a feat!

to Najaf and Fallujah with food to help?

14. Some Kurds may have...
But there were also some reports that the US had brought in Kurdish peshmergas to act as snipers along with the Marines in Fallujah. Whose peshmergas they allegedly were (which faction), I don't know.

Unfortunately, while this is just the sort of bonehead manuever I could see Rumsfeld pulling, it's also just the sort of rumor that someone who wanted a civil war in Iraq would spread. I don't have enough information to guess which one it is.

22. Something I just found regarding the 'peshmerga snipers' at Fallujah
It looks like the story might have started because they were sent there, but they were apparently part of the Iraqi brigade that mutinieed and refused to attack Fallujah:

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=102x491297

From the article:

Soldiers from the Baghdad-based 36th Security Brigade, part of the Iraqi Civil Defence Corps (ICDC), told Reuters on Friday that
last week U.S. commanders took them at night to Falluja, west of the capital, where U.S. forces were massing to crush a growing
insurgency.

"They told us to attack the city and we were astonished. How could an Iraqi fight an Iraqi like this? This meant that nothing had
changed from the Saddam Hussein days. We refused en masse," said Ali al-Shamari.

(snip)

The 36th brigade, according to four of its members, comprises 340 soldiers from the former Iraqi army and the Peshmerga, the Kurdish militia that once fought Saddam's forces.

So I guess they were told to go there by the US, but refused to attack fellow Iraqis.

and recognize how truly evil an evangelical born again mental-midget can be as CINC. That asshole gave life to the Democratic party such that we will hopefully never ever let the repugs dominate all branches of government again, including the SCOTUS.

Look at Zell Miller who has publically supported Bush for re-selection.

Dems are still soft or reluctant in their criticism of Bush.

Except for being against the Bush Leaguer, the Dems have no backbone at all.
I believe the word I want is Cartilage. Sharks have no bones in their bodies; they have soft Cartilage instead.

How many Hammerheads or Makos or Great Whites are there in the Democratic Party? Kennedy is a Sand Shark. Kerry is a Whale Shark. Any other suggestions?

I'm a college professor, so I deal with slackers all day long.

Now they have a ray of hope in this pitiful dog eat dog world. They think maybe they, too, can slack around, cheat on exams, binge drink, pay someone to take their GRE, and still come out on top some fine day. That's Dubya's gift to America. He's united the slackers into more slacking, as if they needed uniting.

32. He may have put the last nail in the coffin of trickle down economics
But then again, I thought that his father had done that.

Aside:

Americans seem to have a bad case of attention deficit disorder. It may be due to all the prozac/? they're taking - and even giving to their children. When parents are working long hours or holding two or three jobs to pay the bills, medicating the kids is apparently very tempting. Listening to the program Washington Journal recently, i heard a woman calling in to say that she would give her kids whatever whatever medication required to keep them off illegal drugs. Go figure..

I suspect prozac is implicated in a lot of the unusual murder cases involving mothers killing their children and such grotesqueries. i also suspect that the fact is deliberately withheld during trial at the behest of drug companies. Seems doubly tragic if true. Prozac supposedly has clinical value. It's definitely a big money-stream.

43. Ed Koch is much worse than Lieberman
He wants to sterilize welfare recipients - and don't give him no Hotler arguments - cuz Hitler also loved his mother and that doesn't mean we shouldn't live our mothers. he's been a fascist years before W got sober enough to be pushed into politics. Zel Miller is a fiery progressiveactivist compared to Koch.

Can anyone honestly say they wouldn't wish Bill was still making the speeches? I cringe and squirm every time I hear GW speak!

I'm sure GW didn't intend to make Bill look good, but the few times I have heard Bill speak at a rally or even in a debate like the one he just had with Dole he was great. He spoke in actual sentances and made sense.

Sad to say, but I'd rather have an adulterer in the WH than the incompentent, warmonging, incapable, puppet we have now!
