We here at DU have a CITY TO SAVE!
Fallujah!

I'm so sorry for being so passionate about this. We have a small window of opportunity to make a difference. The only way to make that difference is if we start to scream bloody murder! End the SEIGE OF FALLUJAH!! Give them back their paper, democracry is what we promised, and without Freedom of the Press there is NO DEMOCRACY!

Why are we there, to bring "freedom and democracy". WMD's out the window, not there, forget about it.

Let us go forth, let us rock and roll. We want FREEDOM AND DEMOCRACY FOR ALL. Stop committing WAR CRIMES. Stop collective punishment!

YOU ALL WILL BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR YOUR ACTIONS IN A COURT OF LAW!

1. Fallujah will go down in history
as the My Lai of these times. We have become a nation of murderers. We massacre innocent children. For the terrible suffering this country has brought down on other humans, the karmic debt will be enormous. Guaranteed.

2. Fallujah isn't about the newspaper
it is the reprisals for the killing and burning of the 4 US mercenaries (or contractors - I still can't work out what the hell they were doing).

It's not that important. A massacre of civilians isn't justified either by some burning corpses, stories in a newspaper, or a refusal of a cleric to be arrested.

Only if it makes a difference to you, okay?

6. Vigilantees
What the Marines have done to Fallujah is similar to what savage vigilantees do, a course of action heretofore condemned by most of America. Except for maybe the fire-bombing of Dresden or Sherman's march to the sea, eh?

Fallujah is the rallying cry needed by the Peace and True Democracy People; us. Fallujah can be the turning point in our campaign to end the occupation of Iraq. Only if we use it.
