these guys on This Is Hell are idiots. They bring up good topics to discuss, but some of their comments are just plain ignorant. They just got done criticizing Amy Goodman and Dem Now for not telling of "all the abuses committed by Aristide".

They didn't mention once the massive propaganda campaign against Aristide that was responsible for much if not all of that rhetoric. These guys just bought into the propaganda and claim that Aristide committed all kinds of abuses. Now, I'm not sure if he did or didn't. But, I DO KNOW that there is a massive propaganda campaign to demonize him and which has published and been responsible for NUMEROUS lies about Aristide. And, for these guys who run a show and claim to be telling "truths" to not mention that is a high form of idiocy and/or ignorance.

And, these "This Is Hell" host criticizes "the left" for not criticizing Aristide, as well as Chavez and Castro (others with massive propganda campaigns against them.)

They said Aristide was not a saint, but he was not the "thug" the press made him out to be. They said all the good Aristide has done and also presented the things Aristide did which were bad for the country. And the things that Aristide did bad were mainly done to appease the US.

So I feel they did a good job.

They failed to mention any of the massive propaganda campaigns against Aristide. Utterly failed. It was not a fair segment at all. It can't be fair when you don't mention and actually make a big point out the massive propaganda campaign to demonize Aristide. The links I provided above set forth and discussed SOME of the massive propaganda and lies used and being used against Aristide. They ignored this HUGE point.

They actually bought into some of the vague propagandistic claims against Aristide -- like about the killing of Jean Dominique. They let it be implied that Aristide was involved in that. It was a joke.

In short, .. I thought they sucked on this segment. But, I've noticed that with this show. On some segments, these guys are incredibly uninformed and just plain ignorant.

The segment thereafter with the guest on Vanunu was pretty good though.
