In response to Woodward's question on how does he believe history will judge the Iraq War.

We KNOW we will all be dead. That is NOT the answer to the question.

He could have said: I am sure that historians will say it was the right thing to do, although it wasn't popular at the time. But I believed it was something I had to do.

Or maybe Mr. Sockpuppet apparently does not have the strong belief that he is doing the right thing.

Or, and here is the scary part: Maybe he is telling us that we are at the end of history. Soon everyone will be dead. Maybe he knows something we don't. Maybe we are at the end-times. Maybe Armageddon is right around the corner.

Be afraid. Be very afraid.

16. There a millions, perhaps tens of millions, of end-times crackpots...
in America, and I'm not at all sure Boy George isn't one of them. And remember, Georgie has real weapons of mass destruction at his disposal -- thousands of them. :scared:

14. My biggest fear...
is that the "last days" come before I have a chance to stock up on rum and cigarettes. Because I'm SURE that I won't have an internet connection for the last 72 hours of life on this earth.

That said, I'm gonna run up the biggest credit card bill of all time when the rapture begins...heck, I might even buy up all them Ann Coulter books!!!

12. I agree kera
it was the combination of the two statements that gave me the chills.

First he says God told him to start a war in the ME (ala Christ will come back after the Christians beat all the other world religions in a huge war that starts in the ME) then he does that "we won't be around" crap.

The guy is a first rate relgious fanatic NUT JOB! He is absolutely no different from the 9-11 hijackers.

6. Always an excuse, never an answer.
But it does sound a bit apocalyptic too. He only has certain responses programmed into his head, and there just isn't room for updates of real information. It very obviously sends his head spinning. I swear he not only sounded, but LOOKED like Pat Robertson giving that speech. It was freaking me out.

Damn, that's a scary sentence. I didn't realize it until I typed it and read it.

Holy s***, we have a madman in command of the most lethal military ever known, and he's on a crusade. A world-wide crusade. To "save" people.

I'm suddenly stunned. I forgot what I was going to write.

Damn.

8. Maybe Bush is a moron and can't put a sentence together.
Bush meant that the history will not be written on this for a while. Of course, he is too stupid to make the sentence saying that and says we will all be dead. Don't discount stupidity when you are dealing with Generalissimo Bush.

10. Maybe he knows something we don't? Of course he does!
like a child who occasionally speaks out of turn, this has been discussed by the enclave. They plan to maintain power indefinitely anyway they can, while planning to rewrite history portraying themselves as wrt saviors of the human race from ME oppressors.

Inspiration from God and all that tripe.

Underestimate this gang and we lose.

13. I wonder if he tried to pre-empt the uproar on this in the press conferenc
In response to one of the questions, he said he was recently having dinner with some world leader, and he wondered if historians would discuss the Iraq War in the future the way we discuss World War II.

Maybe the secular warmongers in his admin. knew this would not over too well so they wanted him to talk specifically about history would view us. I remember when I heard this during the press conference it struck me as * having delusions of granduer.

15. I think it was just the flip side of the old history dismissal:
"Who cares about that stuff, they're all dead now", or "why should we read about a bunch of dead guys"?

That's what incurious dipshits say when confronted with a history assignment. I think George is just an incurious dipshit.
