My good buddy got offered a job with Blackwater in Iraq
(or one of its subsids. I do not remember) as a security officer (what many would call a merc). He is pretty torn. He got back from Iraq during the last troop rotation and is finishing up college. He told me, on a visit this past weekend, that he got offered a security position in Iraq for a lot of money. He is torn on whether or not he wants to go. It is only 6 months and it is a lot of money, but he still isn't sure. I don't know what he is gonna do but I will support him on his choice either way.

8. exactly
he's signing his life away to protect corporate looters and pillagers who don't give a DAMN about his life or his safety.

On the plus side, he'll likely have better food, armour, and equipment than he did in the military , plus he won't be on the front lines anymore.

Not worth it, IMHO

I wonder how many of these Blackwater jobs will be used to show "job growth" next quarter :puke:

6. "Money Can't Save Your Soul"
lyrics by Savoy Brown. Here is the chorus:

Money can't save your soul
You better leave now
While it's still ain't old
Money can't ease your mind
Come back and leave it all behind

Good luck convincing your friend.
