23. I don't know what to think about Randi...

I've listened to her show a few times and she has said a few things that irratated me-- which is usually difficult to do.

Last week she was basically saying "so what" to the infamous rape rooms utilized by Saddam's thugs. And her argument was that women get raped everywhere-- even here in the U.S. and even in the U.S. military-- so what's the big deal.

Personally, I think she went too far. We can oppose this war, oppose the reasons, or lack thereof, for this war-- but I don't think it's the majority of opinion among most Democrats that we don't care that these thugs were brutally raping women.

All i'm saying is that Randi said people were making too big of a deal out of "rape rooms". I just don't think we can ever make too big a deal out of women being brutalized by men-- be they Americans, Iraqis, or anywhere else in the world. At the least, it was insensitive, especially if she was just trying to be sarcastic.

By the way, I did try to call the show last week but never got anything but a busy signal.
