On my way home from work:

I guess I understand it, but it still gave me a chill.

4. SW Florda? It's warm there right? Last thing I heard was that
terristz could potentially identified by profuse sweating. It's gonna be a bloodbath down there.

Of course, terrorism is bad in the way puppies and kittens are good. Any rational human being would be against terrorism. Most people love puppies and kittens.

But then again, I view 911 this way. I'm a progressive and was mad as hell on that day three years ago. I wanted the US war machine unleashed on any country with a desert.

But slowly my faculties returned and rational thinking prevailed. That's the difference to me between progressives and neocons right now. Everyone was angry then. It's only the homicidal maniacs who through totally irrational thinking STAY in the same state of anger they were in three years ago.

24. Puppies and kittens are good?
Puppies chew stuff up and crap all over the place. There's nothing so sharp as kitten claws, and they're not afraid to use them.

I like cats and dogs. Preferably well trained cats and dogs. Kittens and puppies? That's a stage that must be endured.

spread them all over like running over an ant hill with a lawnmower.

A worldwide manhunt would have been the perfect remedy, we had the goodwill back then where we could have probably gotten support from any/all countries to actually round em up rather than profligate them around the globe and kicking their recruitment drive into high gear with bush*s "crusade".

15. The printing around the perimeter adds a nice touch. It says,
No bag limit - Tagging not required

I wonder if this dipshit had one of these in 1995 before the Oklahoma City bombing? Think this is for the sub-species "brown-skinned terrorist" only?

16. Chickenhawks
A guy I used to work with has something like that on his truck. During the run-up to Iraq he was all fire and brimstone, WAR WAR WAR, and bragging about how him and ol' Red was gonna sign up and kick some <racially offensive language deleted> butt. Red's a WWII veteran and thinks this guy is an idiot. Red would hang out at the store where I worked because he liked to argue with him. When he'd start spouting, Red would just shake his head and say "yeah, right" and proceed to attempt to educate him. I liked listening to it. The other guy's eyes would just glaze over.

Anyway, I ran in to him recently and asked why he hadn't signed up yet. I expected some typically idiotic answer. It was funny in a sick sort of way, though, because rather than give me that answer, he just changed the subject entirely. So, I pressed it, "No, really. I thought you were serious. Looks like it's getting bad. Are you gonna join?"

He called me an asshole and stormed off.

I have no respect for these people at all. I think I'm going to start carrying around a pile of peace stickers with bunnies on them or something and start slapping them on their vehicles in parking lots.

23. Great story!
I wish I could have seen that exchange!

That bumpersticker just screams "chickenhawk." That kind of empty macho posturing is very obnoxious. If he really wants to hurt terrorists, he should trade his SUV for a hybrid car.

20. Those stickers are everywhere in California...
local liquer stores, convenience stores, fishing and bait stores, etc. A company called Stickergiant sends them along with all the other loudly obnoxious "humor" bumper stickers ("If you don't take that phone out of your ear, it will end up your ass", "Watch my tail, not hers", etc).

That the Black sells them along with all their other "cute" stickers marketed for the redneck and biker - and military - part of their clientel, I'm not suprised - after all, many stoners are redneck/biker types.

19. In the prouder (sarcasm) earlier days in America's past
that bumper sticker would have the "N" word instead of terrorist.
And people laughed a it.

So, you are simply looking at updated racism.

In the south( when I was in the service) in the 60's the neck types had stickers that said

Boating not busing/Boat their asses back. (cleaned up)

They had a lot more too.

34. That's horrible logic.
How is that racist? Look, I think it's a stupid sticker too, but n***er is a racial slur. Terrorist isn't. It doesn't refer to a certain race. McVeigh was a terrorist. The IRA is a terrorist organization. So is Al Qaeda. They are all not from the same race, and unless McVeigh is from some strange minority you can concoct, this is not a racist bumper sticker.

My favorite: "Pave the World! One People, One Planet, One Slab of Asphalt!"

It's not meant to be taken seriously.

Another one I find amusing is "The Meek Shall Inherit the Earth!" in big letters, while in small letters it says "After the bold are done with it and have gone to the stars" or something like that.

Other favorites are:
"When they ban guns, can we use swords?"
"Once you pull the pin on Mr. Grenade, he is NO LONGER YOUR FRIEND."
"Imagine Whirled Peas"
"UFOs are real. The Air Force is swamp gas."
"Honk once if you're Elvis. Honk twice if you're Jesus."
"Five days a week, my body is a temple. The other two, it's an amusement park."
"In case of Rapture, I'm taking your car."

Y'all are making a mountain out of a molehill.

In Massachusetts no less... one of my Fire Departments ladder trucks even sports one.

Now I see them everywhere.

I think these are the people that started it.
