Draft The Rich Kids Before You Come Knocking On My Door!!!!
Edited on Thu Apr-22-04 12:21 AM by The Democratic Kid
Forced against your will to do some thing by your government. Does that sound familiar? The Jews were put on trains and sent off to laber camps to work and die during the 30s and 40s. Now they want to force our kids on to trains and go off and fight against their will just so the Bush family and friends can make more money. Rich kids won't go just like W. Ware Was he Bush. If any members of my family don't want to go I will fight to the death to protect them. Look let me put it this way, Mr President if you start the draft than send your kids and your friends kids first or I will fight until my last breath! O and by the way thanks for all that your doing to improve health care in our country. Take Care and please pray for peace and fight like hell for health care reform and positive change. 1. The first to go should be the kids w/parents filing in the over
$100,000 tax bracket (not really that much these days)....doesn't matter what the birth date is....just filing status....THAT would certainly bring a sea-change of things......

3. More that I think about it, the more it makes sense.....
....the more that a person has to 'benefit' from these overseas conflicts, should invest more - their children's lives! The people who have 'less to benefit' should be 'investing less.....makes sense, no? It's the capitalistic way....great benefit, requires great risk/danger....small benefit, small risk/danger.

6. Prolly shouldn't say this, but I think all the Bush girls need...
to lead the way to Iraq. Their daddies may change their minds about how good the war is.

7. Halliburton and KBR should have a recruitment desk in the lobby
Edited on Thu Apr-22-04 12:46 AM by DustMolecule
...sign your kid up in the lobby before you have your first cuppa!!! (I'm sure they must do this, considering the seriousness and involvement in their 'mission').<sarcasm>

on edit: added <sarcasm> - did I REALLY need to explain that? *sigh*

8. A vote for Bu$h is a vote for the draft!
Have them sign up for duty right after they vote. No age limit necessary!

9. Actually, Kerry is likely to activate the draft, also
Especially given that all the mechanisms have already been put into place.

11. Any patriotic, pro-war voter should be ...
... allowed to sign up. Perhaps if there are enough volunteers, the draft could be avoided.

12. Allowed?
Of course everyone is "allowed" to sign up.

There hasn't exactly been a rush to enlist.

Which is why there will probably be a draft.

I guess I'm really not getting your point... did you think somehow people aren't "allowed"?

????

13. Perhaps "encouraged" to sign up ...
... would have been clearer.

Anyone who is strongly pro-war should be strongly encouraged to sign up. Immediately — to prove how much they really support the war. They should be honored to do their patriotic duty!

I know everyone is "allowed" to sign up. I also know there has been no big rush to enlist. What I don't understand is why anyone who supports the war is not as eager to go.

14. Were it to come to pass, I can see a hoard of applications for "Jr. Year
Abroad" programs and a crowd of rich kids studying at Oxford, Cambridge, the Sorbonne, Heidelberg, etc. and stretching it out. Maybe a new generation of ex-patriots.

15. How about feigning homosexuality as a way to beat the draft??
"you're not moral enough to join the Army and kill women and babies".
