I just thought of a good theme song for the Dems
I was listening to the radio, and the song "Eye of the Tiger" came on. This is really good, an electrifying song, it makes you want to get up and dance. It is also about being an underdog and rising up and taking on a Goliath, and winning! It is from the 80's, for those that may not have heard it.

I think this is a great song for either one of the candidates, or for the nominee when he is determined. What do you think?

1. Well, I like the reasoning, but I HATE that song.
It's ugly and you can't sing along to it. I'd prefer some sort of Springsteen-like anthem.

3. I suppose it's a matter of taste
I think it's a good song. The problem I have with a Springsteen anthem is the one that comes to mind is "Born in the USA" and this song is already identified with Reagan. He used it a few times until Springsteen said to stop.

7. Well, for the primary
I think that is a good choice for a candidate, but not for the main theme song after the nomination is given. That song isn't mainstream sounding enough, I don't think.

16. Or maybe "Born to be Wild"?
I loved that in the late '60's.

Grateful Dead's "Touch of Grey"

'I will survive...we will survive'

5. Hey! How about Gloria Gaynor's "I Will Survive"?

For the part about "I should have changed that stupid lock, I should have thrown away the key, if I'd thought for just one minute you'd be back to bother me...." you could substitute language about the Bushes! Show a picture of the White House with a big lock on the door!

Or, choose a good Motown song.

9. Americans want to do more than survive
That's why I would say that wouldn't work.

As a commercial for a bank used to say, (and I believe this is true, ok, it is from a commercial, but so what)

"Americans want to succeed, not just survive"

10. I think we just have different tastes!
To me, that is about a very strong woman and it's a super upbeat song (if you ever want to see a bunch of women dancing and pumping their fists, put that song on!)

11. lol

I'll keep that in mind, heh.

Seriously, I think "Eye of the Tiger" is a good theme song, I'm a little miffed no one else thinks so.

12. Maybe it's the Stallone association...
wasn't it a Rocky movie theme?

Also, for whatever reason, it makes me think of Little Brave Sambo chasing the tigers around and around till they turn into pancakes.

13. Ha Ha
Funny picture you drew. Yea, it was from one of the Rocky movies, the one with Mr. T in it. I've always been partial to it since then.

Easy to sing tune, great for masses of people to attempt; it's upbeat and will leave people with a warm feeling about Democrats

15. Interesting
But, it kind of gives a sign of weakness maybe. Because if a group isn't united in the first place, they would have to be reunited. I'm not expressing this well.
