1. Right on the mark
Edited on Thu Aug-07-03 08:17 PM by xray s
Take solace in this...even though the media is ignoring/satirizing the Democratic field, no Dem ads have yet to run and the VRWC/Rove propaganda machine is in overdrive spewing out lies and distraction, BUSH's POLL NUMBERS ARE STILL DROPPING LIKE PIDGEON POOP IN CENTRAL PARK!

Just wait until the race really kicks in. We'll be fine.

2. I've never been so sure of anything political in my life
- and not to brag, but I haven't often been wrong.

Feel the groundswell. It's happening all around us- on the trains, in conversations with conservative parents, in check-out lines, around the water coolers.

I know I may be crazy, but crazy people sometimes have a way of tuning into such things.

I only hope I live to see it. and have the opportunity to help reverse the damage.

4. Yep, from here on out, maybe we should start
using the term "this administration", and stop "bashing" Bush blindly, and speak more to what and who we are for instead of trying to tear down Bush or Dems we are not for.

I am not saying don't criticize Bush, just don't do it with rabid hate, and use the term "current administration", etc. instead of making it personal, especially when we are trying to convince more conservative folks...

5. I think any liberal who plans to vote is an optimist.
I'll give you an example of pessimism that is very non-constructive. I am so angry at my friend. I almost yelled at her on the phone, because she went on again how she doesn't vote, because all politicians and government are corrupt and there is no justice in the world. I tried to tell her, 'That's because there are too many people who won't do anything! We are going to be the most hated generation in American history if we don't get Bush out of office. I could live in my own little world, but can't stand the thought of my child, grandchildren and great grandchildren cleaning up the mess Bush is making on our generation's watch.' She then said, 'Well, if someone blames me for this mess, I have a clear conscience. I've never voted in my life.' That was after she made a comment about Bush on the phone I hope the FBI didn't get wind of, or the S.S. will be at her door in the next couple of hours. This used to be an intelligent woman. If she feels that way, why doesn't she get off her ass and vote!!!! I'm to the point where I am considering not hanging around people who are this hedonistic and apathetic.
