Bush and his Flag-Draped Coffins! Ohhhh the Hypocrisy!

Perfectly acceptable for a political Ad

DOVER, Del. - President George W. Bush considers the release of photographs of flag-draped military coffins a reminder of the fallen troops' sacrifice but believes family privacy should be respected, the White House said Friday.

"America knows full well that our men and women are serving and serving brilliantly both in Iraq and around the world. ... America is aware this is a war against terrorism," Bush spokesman Trent Duffy said. But, he said, "The message is, the sensitivity and privacy of families of the fallen must be the first priority."

Ya see...here's what gets me....The flag-draped coffin in his ad campaign has a dead human being in it. We have no idea who that human being is and so it would be pretty hard to violate the family privacy of said dead human being! BUT let's say for a moment that someone does a bit of detective work and tracks down the fire fighters in the Bush ad and asks them who that might have been in the coffin. And let's say that they were able to put a name to the person in the coffin. Then, and only then you could say that maybe, maybe it violates the privacy of the family. Ya see...that's only one coffin and it's possible to put a name to it... Look at the pic below... There are dozens of coffins and they're not marked. I'd say it would be pretty impossible to ID by the pic who was in those coffins. Hence how can we violate family privacy if we the families don't know if their loved ones are in those coffins.

In a nutshell... Bush uses an ad for a fucking political ad and in it is a er flag-draped coffin! He and his cabal had no qualms about the possible violation of family privacy by using that image but he has big qualms as noted from the snip above about allowing photos of flag-draped coffins coming back from Iraq!

1. that is not a coffin...

there were no coffins removed from Ground Zero.

the picture (still WRONG) is of remains being removed on a stretcher.

which makes it even easier to reveal the name of who's under the flag...Flag-draped stretcher, flag draped coffin...no diff to me!
