Actually Yes he should run ,however I dont believe he should be an annouced runner ,instead he should be the choice thru a Draft . We all know the media is ready to attack Gore as being wishy washy, and not a man of his word if he should run .However noone is ? Arnold for being part of another type of repug coup , by taking the Govenorship of Ca. away from the voters. Didnt Davis just win the election? You know this must be one of the strangest time in our goverments history. Drastic times call for drastic measures ,like drafting the best man to go up against bush in 2004. That would be the guy whom won last time Al Gore., our true President in exile !

9 M mp3 of his NYU speech. Someone mentioned that they didn't get C-SPAN and couldn't get the C-SPAN link to work, either.

Please don't get the impression that I'm a "Gore hater" from some of my previous posts, but, I just think the "liberal" media will paint him as a liar or wishy washy if he changes his mind and runs for President in '04. Having said that, if whoever gets the D nomination asks him to run on their ticket for VP, that'd be great, imho. He'd add a lot to the ticket and that'd be completely legal with no broken promises, either :-)

It's a shame that people are either really anti or pro Gore in terms of him thinking of running again. I believe he still has a role, but that role just may not be as President.

4. Gore Bombed the Bush administration today

He single handedly attacked and unleashed a hellstorm of truth on the Bush administration, its policies, and its beavior patterns. He even mentioned 1984.

I got the feeling I was listening to an historic indictment. Gore suppored each assertion he made and gave examples.

The attack was blistering for Bush. He really is the worst of all time.

15. This morning on the Boston classical music station I couldn't believe my

ears. During their news section they came right out and said, "Yesterday Al Gore said that Bush should be fired for his current performance, and Gore gave a blistering attack against the Bush Administration."

102.5 FM is the station out of Boston, and they are a bit conservative. When they mentioned Al Gore's speech yesterday, I pumped my fist. (I was driving my car at the time, so couldn't jump for joy.)

The tide is turning folks.

But only in 2008 if the nominee next year fails. In 2012, he'd be 64, and I think that would be a bit too old. But hey, if Dean completes 8 years with Graham or someone who won't run again, Gore should run in 12, then.

I really hoped he'd run this year, but now that he said he wouldn't, I don't think he should. That's the last thing he needs, is another excuse for the Republicans to attack his integrity.

I voted for Gore in '00, somewhat reluctantly, because I thought him too moderate. Now he seems to have shaken off the shackles of the DLC, Clinton, and Lieberman. By the tone of his recent speech he would have no problem ripping the shrub and he has no pro-war vote baggage like the 4 dwarves. And, he's even more liberal than Dean on most issues.

I'd back him.

...and this is exactly what the media wants and expects. They didn't spend years tearing down Clinton/Gore for nothing. It looks as if many Dems have fallen for this ploy of fearing another Gore run because the media will be mean to him. (Hint: they'll be mean to any Dem candidate that doesn't tow the corporate line).

- Gore framed the debate with this latest speech. Will the party follow his lead and begin to directly challege the insane policies of George II? Not if the DLC has anything to do with it.

He thinks too deeply and speaks too eloquently to excite a large part of the electorate.

For example, his magnificent speech yesterday had a Flesch-Kincaid readability grade level of 12.0 (source: Microsoft Word spell check on my machine). Definitely appropriate for his immediate audience, but way over the head of many voters.

Al Gore is a brilliant, passionately dedicated, man, and I respect him greatly. In my opinion, his shortcomings are in the categories of leadership and electability.
