Look at this answer from Arnold on ABC morning show.
He was asked this question when they were talking about the deficit in California. Arnold, you must agree then with the way President Bush has handled the deficit for America. Here is what Arnold said. " I am not going to compare apples to oranges. This is about the state of California and the fact that Grey Davis took a 9 billion dollar surplus and turned it into a 38 billion dollar deficit and something has to be done about it."

I spit my orange juice all over the table. It`s Bush`s selection all over again. Get the office with a dummy and we will run it for you. That seems to be the republican way of doing it. Gary Coleman looks better every time this fool opens his mouth.

1. Perhaps Ah-nuld doesn't know an apple from an orange.
The situations are exactly comparable. Maybe I should throw my hat in the race. Is living in Illinois a problem?

2. NBC interview was just as pathetic
talking about the fire in his belly, we need leadership....blah, blah, blah.

Matt Lauer seemed a tad perturbed.

...that's what I wanna know! No nation-building! Fiscal responsibility! Kompassionate Konservatism!

Hey, it worked for the Chimp. Apparently.

6. This is great
Let them keep talking, I hope every repub comes out and says the exact same thing-- those words will come back to haunt them. They're writing the commercials for the democratic presidential candidates.

7. A lady caller on CSpan right now called and gushed about
how excited she was that Arnold was running and how it is the best thing for California. She said she was sure that Arnold would be just like Bush and surround himself with the best team to help him run the state.

Seems like the Bushbots have a new hero.

9. Its been the repuke tactic for decades now
Place a puppet in office and run them from behind the scenes. Everything about the repukes has been about enabling puppets. Even term limits are about puppet mastery. Newbie elected officials are easy to control. Add to the fact that the Dems are not doing the puppet thing and you get inexperienced Dems up against puppet Reps controled by Puppet Masters with loads of experience.

Consider the past decades of Repuke prez candidates since Nixon. They learned their lesson with Nixon. Never let an intelligent self directed Repuke take a high office. Since then they have nominated a collection of affible but dumb candidates for the prez knowing that they can be controlled from behind the scenes.

10. Actually, the mishandling of the national economy is worse,
both because the federal government has some powers to deal with recessions that are not shared by the states and because a major part of California's problem is the consequence of federal (Republican) connivance in the defrauding of California by Texas energy companies.

11. His tonight show appearance ...
shows what his entire campaign will be based on. Don't expect to hear anything new come out of his mouth. He did nothing but trash California, and Davis. He did not offer up any new ideas as to how to solve the problem.

His entire campaign will be based on "The Other Side Sucks". Sure its fun to chant for a while, but it doesn't solve anything.

Cheers
Drifter

12. they tried that in NJ
Well, if they try that it may not work because it didn't fly in NJ with Douglas "I'm Not Torricelli" Forrester. And this was with Forrester sounding like a halfway reasonable person. Arnold doesn't even have that going for him.

It got old fast and Forrester's ratings took a nosedive; then Lautenberg stepped in and thankfully we have an old pro at the helm as our senator.

the national budget crisis and California's budget crisis, then he's even dumber than I thought.

16. Gary Coleman does NOT
Coleman is a wingnut who said he's behind Arnie 100%, but he'll leave his name on the ballot anyway.

Little cocksucker.

17. The Democrats better do some "Connecting of the Dots" with this recall
And show just exactly how Bush's apples affected California's Oranges.

If they don't then they deserve to lose the state.
