"Inoculate" is a word I never want to hear in a primary again
Remember waaaay back to the primaries when some folks were certain that John Kerry's status as a war hero would inoculate him from attacks on military service and security credentials?

Remember when other cited what had been done to McCain and Cleland and said there was no such thing as inoculation?

Seems the latter group was right.

This is not to re-fight the primary battle, but let us hope that we remember in the future that when it comes to this bag o thugs, there is no such thing as a magic potion that will prevent an attack. Let us not judge candidates on how invulnerable they seem on paper, but in their willingness to engage effectively.

Jury is still out on Kerry, I think.

the jury is still out on how well this will play for Bush/Cheney.

2. Yup, but my point is that it sure as shit
didn't stop 'em from trying. And Kerry, until very recently, has had to play defense. And when finally he went on the offense (re: Bush Nat'l Guard) he had to renege on a statement that he wasn't going to comment on all that.

3. I think Kerry's dragging this out on purpose -
in his race against Wm. Weld the military service card hurt the Republicans big time.

Juxtaposing Bush's records and Kerry's can't benefit Bush in the long run. All Bush knows how to do is attack - and how can he win this battle? AWOL Shrub/flying privileges revoked against a Silver Star?Neither Bush or Rove are the tactical geniuses they're made out to be - look at Iraq. These people are incompetent fuck ups -
