Lautenberg for Kerry's VP!!
This man became my hero all of a sudden:

http://www.cnn.com/2004/ALLPOLITICS/04/28/lautenberg.kerry/index.html

Lautenberg pointed to a poster with a drawing of a chicken in a military uniform defining a chickenhawk as "a person enthusiastic about war, provided someone else fights it."

"They shriek like a hawk, but they have the backbone of the chicken," he said.

"The lead chickenhawk against Sen. Kerry the vice president of the United States, Vice President Cheney," Lautenberg said. "He was in Missouri this week claiming that Sen. Kerry was not up to the job of protecting this nation. What nerve. Where was Dick Cheney when that war was going on?"

4. Ye Gods, the man is... 80
And from New Jersey?

Can we go for someone within, say 10 years of retirement age? I, personally, think 70 is too old for consideration. Lautenberg was born during the Warren G Harding administration and grew up under FDR.

11. Can you tell me what's wrong with being on a terrorism-analysis non-profit
We produce independent analyses of global terrorist threats, exploring the historical, cultural, philosophical and ideological factors that drive terrorism and threaten the individual freedoms guaranteed within democratic societies. FDD is a non-partisan organization.

It's bi-partisan, do you buy into the Bi-partisanship is like date-rape equivocation?

12. Lautenberg For Democrat!
He doesn't do much for me as a VP candidate, but he sure fits my idea of a Democrat -- which we have far too few of in the Democratic Party.
