Poll question: Should Kerry go Positive, Negative, or both.
The BushCo is mostly going for Neg campaigns, worked for them in the past.

Kerry hasn't really responded in kind yet. We have lotsa ammo. But would it work considering many Americans blinded still? and consequently would reject N attack ads.

whot say you?

2. The 2002 Midterm elections
showed us that playing nice doesn't work. ATTACK, ATTACK, ATTACK.

4. Both
Hit Bush for failing to properly run the country then say how he is going to fix it. It will be something that they will have a hard time handling as BushCo believes that they don't have to change.

6. Kerry needs to speak up and stop being a Bush echo chamber
Dennis was right... "Do you want a Republican war, or a Democratic war?"

I'm sick, ashamed, and moritified.

8. In other words, Attack but layout some plans/agenda has the best odds to
win??? I agree, play poz but open to attack mode when attacked... as they have been of late... so I guess its a combo. The tally so far indicates best course of action for Kerry guys to consider/implement is the Balanced Campaign.

9. Kerry needs to lay out some positive stances
Edited on Wed Apr-28-04 07:15 PM by Walt Starr
The 527's can be the negative attackers. Kerry needs to get in front of the definition already laid upon him by Rove.

10. I'm more..."Go for broke with balanced attack"
Kerry has to describe his vision for America. That's part of the "getting to know you" process with the voters.

I'm for having a "hard edge" on both attacking Dunbya on the BS and explaining his vision. You can do both.

11. Attack!
Put THEM on the defensive for a change. These bastards have been on the attack for how long? WTF does he have to lose,if they can keep him on the defensive through the whole campaign, he is going to lose anyway. I say pull the pin and throw the damn grenade!

Once he has them on the run but good, then he needs to pull out his platform. I am sure people will be ready by then to listen to his proposals about how to fix the *bush mess, but first, the people have to be shown beyond question that there IS a mess to fix.

12. Mostly positive
perceptions of Bush are much more solidly in place than perceptions of Kerry at this point, so it is more important to create a positive image of Kerry than to attack Bush. Opinions of Kerry are much more malleable than opinions of Bush. Also, 527s will do attack ads anyway.

17. The first thing JK should have done is what he did day before...
yesterday! GET PISSED OFF! Al Gore played Goody Two Shoes and won, but not big enough to keep the Reich Wankers in the SCOTUS from being in Stealing distance in 2000! What WE need, is a HUGE upset! An Asswhipping so big that to steal this one would set off a civil war in America! An asswhipping so HUGE that even Bush understands he was whipped soundly! An Asswhipping so big that there ain't enough money, even in the world bank to steal it for Bush again! The 'Mother Of All Asswhippings'! It's time for the democrats to pull out ALL the stops, because if Bush wins in November this country is down the tubes FOREVER! I vote for Whoopass!

15. When in Rome , do as the Romans do....
And these Romans in power in Washington will eat him alive if he doesn't defend himself. When the Repubs hit him with a negative ad, as they have been doing, it's time to hit back. If they hit with a left jab, hit 'em back with a right hook..:)

18. Second choice, but not the way it's described
Kerry must present a strong positive vision for the country that will prove compelling to the voters.

At the same time, he should got negative on Bush to the extent that Bush does it. He can't back down from a fight, he must throw down the gauntlet, give Bush no quarter, and any other cliche that I can think of:D

No playing it safe. That will likely lose this election.

20. Time for HARDBALL!
Whoopass 101: * NEVER, take a dull knife to a gunfight!

John Kerry knows about fighting for his country, Bush and Cheney only know how to steal, cheat and lie! The Devil is on the GOPers side, but we DO hold the high ground in this the 'Mother of All Elections'! If Bush wins, the two hundred year war for democracy is finally lost and the super petro-banker terra-ists have finally won(stolen)all our marbles forever! We must stop these EVIL APES from using the Constitution for their personal Shei'ite paper like they have since Nixon!

The Constitution means very little to Crooks like Bush/Cheney! The Texas Mafia have demonstrated this in the past with their unwillingness to defend it during Viet Nam! This GOPer "Old Money" regime does everything in it's power to undermine the Constitution to this day! The GOPers put love of our MONEY ahead of love of country! Uncle Shrub Wants You,,,,,To be his Slave! Uncle Shrub wants to crack the 'Mother Of All Whips'! The Whip heard round the World!
