ulTRAX's LAW: The Capacity for Human Self-Delusion is Infinite.
It really is disturbing to have a discussion with humans who comfortably live with Orwellian contradictions of their own stated beliefs. It's an exploration into just how tenuous sanity is in the human species.

Such is the case here
http://www.conservativeunderground.com//forum/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=4625
where I brought up the CBO numbers that Bush's FY04 deficit is 800 BILLION. One would think that people who claim to be fiscal conservatives would be outraged. Ha! These Rightists embrace these 800 BILLION deficits yet cling to the delusion they are fiscal conservatives. But then, this is the same crowd that believes tax hikes must cause a recession... and when it doesn't occur... they credit the expansion, as we had with Clinton, to Reagan.

One can never have a rational debate with rabid partisans...

Left or Right.

Come now, did you really have to go to "conservativeunderground" to reach that conclusion?

Rationality is not valued in our culture. If it were... we'd see more of it. It'd be a brake on the irrationality of both the Left and Right.

6. The Drain
Unfortunately, I can argue effectively with these simpletons. It is just so draining.
