1. Despite the mockery of your poll
I think enough Californians will vote for him for him to be the next California governor. Whether it works for you or not, a lot of people like him. In a small election, he is the only name that will have major drawing power.

2. What a sad commentary...
on the intelligence of Californians. If this is so, they deserve what they get.

Money Trouble on Planet Hollywood

by Marcus Errico
Aug 17, 1999, 5:00 PM PT

Not even the considerable star power of Arnold Schwarzenegger, Bruce Willis, Demi Moore and Sylvester Stallone can escape the financial black hole that is Planet Hollywood.

In a statement issued Tuesday, the celeb-sponsored chain announced it would voluntarily file for Chapter 11 bankruptcy--a plan that allows Planet Hollywood to remain open and attempt to reorganize its books, but frees the company from any potential creditors' lawsuits.

Planet Hollywood's star cash error
Troubled restaurant chain Planet Hollywood wrote off $5m (£3.2m) of loans to celebrities because its founders were more worried about being friends with the stars than the company's financial problems, a report has said.
At the end of 2001, there were just 13 Planet Hollywood outlets around the world, down from 95 three years earlier.

Cause it's true to in a funny way.

I'm so smart in the handling of my money that I don't handle it. I hire people to do that for me.

In my case, I'm so knowledgeable about plumbing that I quickly call the plumber at every slight problem. It saves me lots of money.

5. Give me some reasons to want him for Governor
It's not good enough to "like" someone...if you don't know
about his abuse of women and co-workers, his porn past,
his business failings, his Nazi father...maybe you'd better
educate yourself. If you had any problem with Clinton getting
a BJ in the Oval Office..you might want to rethink placing
a man who has real sexual boundary problems in the highest office
in California.

You don't have to "like" government officials..they are
there to solve real problems, not just appear in front of
a camera. Arnold has NO experience in government and he
could start by running for Beverly Hills City Council if he
was really serious about making politics a career...
Politics is a career, not something to do between scripts.
It's serious. We have serious problems in this state, along
with most of the nation.

I don't "like" Arnold and I don't like that he thinks anyone
can do this job.

8. I Like Arnold
I met him during his Conan days.

I would not vote for him because he is a Republican and voting Democrat is a matter of religion with me.

His "pornographic past" is of no moment. The fact that his father was a Nazi is certainly of no moment unless you think Nazism is genetically transferred.

He needs to bone up on the issues.

Let's defeat him because he's incompetent not because he's evil.

19. I live in California
and I refuse to elect a prick like Ahnold. I don't care how famous he is. He can't even speak or act, how the hell is he going to run a state?
THis is just a huge ego meeting a right wing attempt to take Calif. fromt he Dems. AND IT WILL WORK BECAUSE THERE ARE SO MANY STUPID PEOPLE OUT THERE WILLING TO ELECT A MOVIE STAR.

That's the saddest thing of all.

4. Arnolds supporters
He will draw votes from freepers that complained bitterly about Clinton and Monica, but will overlook his appearance in a gay porno firm, affair with a 16 year old, positive comments about Adolf Hitler, and support for Kurt Waldheim.

He will draw exceptionally well from the linguistically challenged population that cannot understand sentences with multiple syllable words and more than 5 words per sentence.

7. Lazy People--i.e. most of the electorate.
People who are too lazy to bother to actually research a candidate. They'll think, "oh, I've heard of him," so they'll vote for him. End of story. They deserve what they get, IMHO.

11. It depends where he winds up on the ballot
If he gets the first position, we're doomed

If he gets the last position, we may have a chance, people are gonna get tired of looking through 300 names.

If someone else runs with a similiar name, that may work to our advantage!

17. Ventura factor(Jesse not Ace)
But Gov. jesse was from a smaller state, ran as on the Independence ticket and was trashed pretty thoroughly as far as being an effective governor went. But no one tackled his angry young white male constituency. I hope, and that hope has proven in vain SO many times, that the dems have learned a lesson or two about tackling celeb candidates, especially the unqualified ones like reagan, Ventura and now Arnold?

And it has to be on the same irrational level as their candidacy, NOT condescending or logical. American messiahs are so hollywood and pathetic. You wonder what planet we are on on. But people will not vote for dullsville. The main representation we have is mainly drawn from a bureaucratic upscale crust. If we had people really in touch with the common man they wouldn't settle for glamourous phonies so often.

Advice from Texans about Bush or Minnesotans about Ventura went pretty much ignored. Anyone ready to wise up and do it right this time? This is a good time to learn how to kill the TV candidacy. Campaign against the GOP coup first last and foremost. Lump the clowns and facsists together.
Large people rallies with ALL Dems present. Since they fell miserably apart at the seams in stead of following through with the first strategy they owe it to everyone to get together on this. Have one alternate endorsed in case the takeover works. Dump the San Diego Diebold machines and get at the fraud component of the money and WH conspiracy.

Have a debate with all 300-400 candidates! Do we have one that can out bench press cyber heart Arnold?
