How will 'moderate' Arnold deal with Rove?
Will Arnold kow tow to the RNC and Karl Rove? Or will the fact that he's independently wealthy innoculate him from the clutches of the neocons? I remember Arnold saying that he was ashamed to be a Republican during the impeachment. That can't sit well with Rove and the boys.

Since it only requires a plurality of votes to 'win' the recall, I'm guessing Arnold is a shoo-in. So, I guess my question is, will he be his own man, or will he be a puppet of the Reich?

1. puppet of the Reich
Is there any question?

There are no independent or moderate Republicans any more. They all follow the plan.

Besides, Arnie owes Bush. Bush is forcing out his Republican competition.

6. I dunno... there are a few left.
Sens Snowe, Collins and Chafee, for instance. Even Chuck Hagel, on some issues, doesn't follow BushCo lock-step. Plus, I think it's Arnie himself who is pushing out Issa and Riordan. They know they can't beat him, especially in a plurality election.

I seriously doubt Arnie's Karl's first choice for CA gov. He's pro-choice, pro moderate gun control, and he's married into the Kennedy clan!

10. I think it's just the opposite.
Instead of Arnie owing Bush, Bush is going to owe Arnie if he gets elected. I don't think Bush cares a bit about WHO becomes CA gov, as long as its GOP. Then Bush is going to inject lots of federal $$ into the state to help with the crisis and make any GOP gov look good. It's all part of the plan. Bush will back Arnie only because he has the best shot. Let's face it. Simon is much more conservative but I doubt we'll see Bush backing him. He can't win.

3. What do you think?
He'll be a willing boy-toy for Rove and his crew to continue their screwing of Democrats. He's a tool, nothing more. All the money in the world can't buy freedom from BFEE.

5. I think he'll be his own man
Still a repuke, though. Just heard on the radio yesterday that he's pro gay rights and pro choice. With those two views, he's not likely to be a favorite in the party. Sounds like he is a social liberal and a fiscal conservative. Who knows why he chose to affiliate with the repukes?

7. Gee. Sounds like Howard Dean.
Only Dean is pro-NRA and Arnie favours 'moderate' gun control!

8. They don't like him - he's too liberal
if confronted - which he may relish - he'd probably switch.

9. What's with this crap about "he'll switch"
Why would anyone think Ah-nold will switch parties? Has he EVER said anything to make you think that? There are many pro-gay, pro-abortion Republicans. And every single one helps keep George Bush, Dick Armey and Trent Lott in positions of power.

Just because he is a celebrity, does not make Schwartzenegger any better. For God's sake, people, he's a George Bush Republican. How can we be so unmercifully stupid as to give this man a foothold?

11. He's a George Bush Senior Republican.
There is a difference.

By the way, nobody is 'pro-abortion.'
