ya Know Jack Cafferty (CNN) may not be all bad
He just said "Good debate today (on the war) and it's just going to get louder"... <then to a response of "no good choices" he said> "We give these hard questions to the audience every day and I'd trust them better than the people currently making the decisions"

1. Jack's moody. One day he makes good sense, the next he's
cheering the Bushies. He's a Nevadan, and there's many there that think like him. It's kind of a combination Demo+Repug+Libertarian philosophy.

3. He's a grumpy old conservative
Who's on CNN to make funny/sad comments. I'm sure they think it helps their ratings. Unfortunately, there are many Americans that think like him. To say he's evil, is extreme. I say he's a misguided conservative who still thinks the USA's main goal is to police the world and force democracy on all people, whether they want it or not.

4. drives me batty
he is smarmy and condescending when he reads the viewer letters. he's not all bad--I only watch CNN in the morning as I prepare for work--but mostly he's just curmudgeonly and non-insightful.

5. I was surprised this morning, too,
by his comments after he read viewers' email messages. That was the first really negative thing I've heard him say about the mess in Iraq. Let's hope he's coming over to our side. We need all the friends we can get.

We also have to remember that his JOB is being the curmudgeon and he does it pretty well.

7. He and all others like him are lemmings
their opinions are based entirely on what the polls are saying. They are mindless gutless cowards who do not have an ounce of integrity or a journalistic bone in their body. Other than that they're grrrrrreat

8. He was an anchor on WNBC TV in NYC for years and kept his politics to
himself. He often had a funny or disarming comment that seemed off the wall for a news reader. I used to see the smoke from his cig swirling up from beneath the news desk.

I was shocked when he started on CNN. I never got that he was such a RW die hard from his days at NBC. He was obviously hired by CNN to provide "balance." I wonder if a lot of it is an act with him these days.

9. Only if you ignor the fact that this POS hit a man while drunk driving
Edited on Thu Apr-29-04 12:03 PM by TankLV
and dragged him many blocks and then left the scene - and got off scott free - and he's still on the air.

Don't know if the poor man died.

No - he's OK, my ass!

He should be destitute and rotting in a prison cell somewhere.
