CNN changes poll headline: "More Iraqis Hopeful But Don't Like U.S."
http://www.cnn.com/

Same poll as discussed here earlier, but CNN seems to be experimenting with provocative headlines.

Front page teaser copy:

"More than half of Iraqis surveyed said their nation will be better off in five years because of the U.S.-led invasion, but 55 percent said they had an unfavorable opinion of the U.S. Despite their struggles and the challenges of forming a new government, 63 percent said they were convinced Iraq will be better off in five years, while 20 percent said they were unsure."

The full article ("Poll: More Iraqis optimistic, dislike U.S."):

http://www.cnn.com/2004/WORLD/meast/04/29/iraq.poll/index.html

"Fifty-five percent said they believe the U.S. military won't leave Iraq unless Iraqis force them out, the survey showed."

REPEAT AFTER ME, kiddies: "hearts and minds, hearts and minds, hearts and minds, hearts and minds, hearts and minds, hearts and minds, hearts and minds, hearts and minds, hearts and minds, hearts and minds..."

:puke:

2. Yeah, so the U.S. / Bush-approved solution will be...
...to send in more troops to quell the insurgents, which will result in more mortar attacks from Mosques and suicide bombers, which will result in more troops, which will...

GOOD MORNING VIETNAM!
