Bill MOyers last night - very interesting article
Moyers showed a re run of the abortion rights activists in washington and included in them were EVANGELICAL XTIANS, who represent approx. a million others based out of a church in the south somewhere.
They believe that since God gave humanity the freedom of choice between right or wrong, and since morality is based on that, then the mother has to make the choice with good judgement. God will judge her according to her conscience and if she acted in good faith.
Furthermore they say that if a poor person with no hope of providing for the child, and is not offered help, they she should abort - bringing the child into the world to suffer is a terrible sin according to them.
Now isnt that interesting?
Am trying to find the source.

1. If I remember correctly, I don't think they were evangelicals
I think there were various Catholic, Protestant, and Unitarian pro-choice groups though. I watched this and I could be wrong, but I don't remember any pro-choice people who were evangelical Christians. I thought it was a very good argument though.

5. OK
Come to think of it, there was about 5 minutes or so I missed. I'm surprised, but glad they had the courage to heed their convictions.

2. Very good show....
The program showed how there were many members of organized religions who are Pro-choice and they don't appreciate how the right would have us believe they have a monopoly on spirituality.....they wanted it to be known there are many Christians who believe in the right for a woman to choose......

Who'da thunk it.

4. Also mentioned that no one is pro-abortion
The issue is when to have a child and whos choice it is.
They mentioned that it is immoral to bring a child into a world that has no future for the child and is detrimental to the womans chance of succeeding and making her world safe for her future children.
