About Justice Souter's assault...
Shades of the Pelican Brief? Think about it, just before the court decides the Cheney Energy Task Force case? Doesn't a Supreme Court Justice have protection? Come on...

I wonder how Justice Souter will vote...

Meanwhile, privatized SS/Black Ops units everywhere using intimidation and torture from Iraq to, perhaps, right inside the U.S.

Operation Northwoods gone mad - with a METHOD to that madness?

Constant fear, an endless war stoked purposefully by the so-called "misteps" of the occupation of Iraq and the propagandization of the people at home...

Meanwhile, the 9-11 cover up seems successful as the "Convenenient Disaster" in Iraq takes the focus off the fact that Dick Cheney, (who was in charge of the so-called "response" while the Chimp ran off to the Shadow Government's bunkers to await word whether or not they had pulled it off and had firmly psychologically brainwashed the public, via their trained media, to believe it was the work of dark-skinned, evil boogeymen from caves unknown...

The chaos in iraq assures that they are going to get away with it.

Meanwhile, so-called "Democrats" like former Iran/Contra fixer Lee Hamilton and former "Operation Phoenix" war criminal Bobb Kerrey so brazenly indicated their part in the cover up by not even sticking around for the end of that farcical Bush/Cheney private, not under oath, "Chat" at the White House...

Furthermore and most disturbing, John F(raud) Kerry and Hillary "The CIA is our friend" Clinton talk of EXPANDING this New World Order-created conflagration...

WHOO HOOOOOO!!!!!

And then there's Black Box Voting...

You'd better start the revolution NOW, friends. Before it's too late.

I guess Thomas Jefferson was right...

1. I don't know
I'd have to know more about his attacker to say if it were fishy or just random street violence.

I'm glad Justice Souter is alright. I got the impression this is something he does regularly.

11. That doesn't mean there was
anything other than garden-variety street-crime involved.

Like I said. I'd have to know more about his attacker.

3. The first thing I thought...
is that if he's not ready to retire, they might help him along since he is one of the few moderate voices left there.

That way Bush can appoint someone else who can overturn Roe as soon as possible.

The account I read said "Robbery was not involved." I think that says it all. Most of the random crime I read about in NY is robbery.

I"m scared shitless right now.

5. It Couldn't Be More Obvious
It's pretty blatant actually...They were probably counting on that. People will say "Come one! They wouldn't be that stupid"

I just hope Souter sticks to his guns...

6. First problem: Souter was nominated by Bush the elder.

David Hackett Souter, Associate Justice, was born in Melrose, Massachusetts, September 17, 1939. He was graduated from Harvard College from which he received his A.B. in 1961. After two years as a Rhodes Scholar at Magdalen College, Oxford, he received an A.B. in Jurisprudence from Oxford University in 1963, and an M.A. in 1989. After receiving an LL.B. from Harvard Law School in 1966, he was an associate at Orr and Reno in Concord, New Hampshire from 1966 to 1968, when he became an Assistant Attorney General of New Hampshire. In 1971, he became Deputy Attorney General, and in 1976, Attorney General of New Hampshire. In 1978, he was named Associate Justice of the Superior Court of New Hampshire, and was appointed to the Supreme Court of New Hampshire as an Associate Justice in 1983. He became a Judge of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit on May 25, 1990. President Bush nominated him to the Supreme Court, where he took his seat on October 9, 1990.

8. True, Souter was placed by a bush, but he turned out to be a surprise,
which is why rethuglicans are always attacking him on radio talk shows and you know who listens and acts out when they hear incitement
by the likes of the far right dope addicts.

9. Do some research
Kerry's a skull and boneser and is a poitical chameleon from way back. Hilklary was recruited by the CIA and has been involved in the world of back room politicking since she was a student during Watergate...

I smell a rat with both of their "we need to do the War of Terror BETTER..."

Wellstone was a real Democrat.

Dennis Kucinich, Barbara Lee, Cynthia McKinney and Jim McDermott are real Democrats.

7. this is one of the strangest rants I have ever read. It doesn't really
seem to be about our suspicions about what has happened to Judge Souter but seems to be more of an attack on every major democrat.

Duh? Wha?

10. I concur.
If I wanted to read paranoid fantasies about major Democrats, I could go to Free Republic.

13. Disinformation. Doesn't it feel just like disinformation?
Ain't it grand to have to deal with it every day? Especially the weekends, god, it gets thick on the weekends.

Kinda like being open for business with 21 bars on the block. Drunks come and piss in your doorway and then you have to clean it up or the city fines you.

You get used to it, but you never like it.

14. What?
You obviously don't know who I am.

I've been fighting the disinfo machine for years.

Is Ted Rall a disinfo agent, too?
How about Aaron Magruder?

15. Supreme Court Justices
do not have protection. At least the didnt prior to Sept 11. The Court is guarded by Federal Marshalls, like all Federal Courts, but other than that, and a driver, that is all they get barring death threats or the like. Souter is widely thought to be gay and that may explain an otherwise inexplicable attack.
