The Kansas City Star printed my letter . . .

A week ago I was outraged to see on the front page of The Star a picture of K. C. Chiefs general manager Carl Peterson fawning all over "Big Time" Cheney. I was instantly motivated to write a letter which was printed in this morning's paper.

"---CHENEY CHIEFS JERSEY---
Usually The Star can be trusted not to print any item that might be considered particularly revolting; however, you crossed the line when you printed on your front page (4/24) a picture of Chiefs general manager Carl Peterson fawning before Dick Cheney. It showed Peterson presenting the vice president a jersey with "Cheney 04" on it. I found it extremely offensive. Peterson has every right to vote Republican, but does he have the right to use the prestige of the Kansas City Chiefs organization to further the cause of Mr. Cheney? I think not. It is a affront to any Chiefs fans who may be opposed to another four years of the corrupt Bush/Cheney administration."

He can vote for whomever he wants but don't tell us it represents the Chiefs...even if it does...

A printed letter-to-the-editor feels damned good, and you should wear it as a badge of honor.
