We must equate Abu Ghraib and My Lai
and Iraq and Viet Nam.

Just as the My Lai massacre changed the minds of America toward the Viet Nam war, so will Abu Ghraib torture change the minds of people toward the Iraq war. It won't be long before Iraq is hanging like an albatross around bush's neck.

Even with all the shit that's been happening the last couple of weeks, I think this is the event that could bring down bush. We need to get the word out with the comparisons. Just as bush used 9/11 and Saddam in the same sentence to link the two in the minds of Americans, so do we need to link Abu Ghraib/My Lai and Viet Nam/Iraq. Time to write to your local newspapers.

1. I think it's done. We are passing the turning point of this war IMO
it will be a brutal turn and I hope it's short because only a horrified American people can put an end to it and to any thought of occupation.

America is horrified right now.

I still believe in the decency of the average American. Yanking people's head out of the sand is the biggest battle and that's been done. I hope.

6. That's my take on it too.
While they're going to try and go back to the 4 contractors, the punishment of the entire city and what actually took place including handing it over to one of Hussein's generals is key.
