Iran Contra in 3 paragraphs or less. Post your summary of the crimes!
For those of us who were watching cartoons in the 1980's or were still in diapers, can you please provide a summary of Iran Contra?

Especially information about Elliot Abrahs and Negroponte and all of BushCo's other recycled criminals.

And if you want to summarize John Kerry's work AGAINST Iran Contra, please summarize here, too.

1. Arms secretly sold to Iranians to finance US clandestine operations
to fund, arm and train Contra counterrevoultionary terrorists fighting against Sandinista gov't in Nicaragua. Sandanistas were Soviet client regime which overthrew Somosa dictatorship in 1979. They pursued a "Third Path" socio-economic strategy-- nationalization of some major industries, but did not completely expropriate capitalist assets-- largely free-market economy still existed. Contras also funded through CIA-aided drug trafficking.

As far as major players and details of scandal are concerned-- I was watching cartoons back then too.
