The Lt. said that.... "we need to either send more troops to Iraq or get out, and I don't really believe leaving is an option. We're playing patty-cake. We surround these cities and negotiate instead of doing what the military's job is. Either do it, use the full force of the US military or get out"......(my paraphrasing of what I can remember him saying)

This man was on the This Week program.

Does this mean that in his mind we should of bulldozed Fallajah, Najaf, Baghdad or Tikrit regardless of the consequences?

Why not just drop a nuke and end it right quick?

Maybe Lt. Reichoff should be pressing the mainstream media to do its damn job in exposing what is at risk BEFORE the bombs start to drop.

He means if you do a half-assed job, then why do it at all.

I've come around to understanding that there have to be enough troops there. They have to have enough to protect the Americans and the Iraqis. If you go in a dark alley and see a couple of guys, you would think you might just get away with some act of violence. If you see ten guys, you would whistle and walk on by. More troops means less violence.

We need a well-thought out plan, do it, and then get the hell out.
