Any other Deanies get a snail mail push poll from Pelosi?
A few questions in a survey mostly about the economy, social security, education.....nothing on the illegal quagmire in IraqNam. Also asked for money for Dem congressional candidates.

I used to send Dean money and used my work address as the return address for those contributions.

This contribution request/survey came to my work address.

It appears clear that Howard Dean has given the dems the Dean mailing list, something which I understood he had pledged not to do without permission from his former contributors.

I'm mildly pissed. Particularly since this "survey" was so non-committal and "oh well" about the quagmire in IraqNam.

Any other Dean contributors getting this thing from Pelosi?

2. I just re-read it. There is one touching on it:
It asked whether you strongly, somewhat or not at all supported "reconstruction" of Iraq by the U.S. That to me, pre-supposes that we should be there and that the invasion was correct and that we stay there. That offends me a lot, coming from a Dem.

3. Did you contribute $200 or more?
Then your address is public, on the FEC disclosure. It's not supposed to be used for fundraising/soliciting. (This doesn't mean people don't pull the lists this way. They're not supposed to, though.)

For the record, I was a sub-$200 donor, but as far as I know, I haven't gotten anything specifically from Pelosi. But we've given enough to various candidates and the DNC and such this year, that we're getting 10 letters a week from various people asking for money or volunteering.

5. Yes.
Maybe that's where her people got the name and address. I sent back the survey with some penciled in questions and answers I would like them to focus on. Primarily getting us out of IraqNam.

You're probably right. From what you said, Dr. Dean probably didn't give them the list and I'm glad for that.

6. Dean has not given his contributor list to the DNC
If you donated more than $200, donated to other campaigns, who did give their mailing lists to the DNC, or joined at some time the Dem Party of your area or registered as a Dem then that would explain how Pelosi could have gotten you address.

7. I get four or five a week from different sources.
Not counting emails.
Since I have no illusions that they give a rats ass
what I think, I junk them immediately, unless it's
someone I was considering making a contribution to
anyway. But that's a short list these days.
