Making BBV an issue is a Win-Win.

Ask the questions:
Are you for fair elections?
YES?
Then I assume you want your vote to be counted?
NO?
Then let's stop right here.
YES?
Then let's continue.

Do you want to see a voter verified paper trail?
NO?
Is it because you believe voting machines are infallible?
YES?
Do you also believe that human beings are incapable of cheating?
YES?
Then I have a bridge...

Diebold et al gives you a paper trail at the ATM.
Don't you think they should also produce one at the voting machine?
NO?
Is this because you believe voting computers cannot be compromised?
YES?

Are you aware that thousands of computer experts have said they can be compromised?
NO?
You should read up on the topic.
YES?
Then you believe those Republican firms who manufacture and sell the machines rather than the experts?
YES?
Then I have a bridge...

Would you agree that a paper trail can't hurt?
YES?
Then why not have one?
NO?
Is it because our democracy is not worth the expense of a $20 printer?
NO?
Then is it because there is something in it for you?

End of discussion.

and only one critique...

Please call it a ballot...not a paper trail.

Ballot is defined under the law. Paper trail is not.

3. Here's a question for freepers who dismiss BBV:
"How would you feel if Hillary Clinton was running for president against Bush and Susan McDougal, Al Franken, and Barbara Streisand were the ones appointed to count the votes?"
