Out of the blue of the western sky comes... Wes Clark!

(sorry, but how often does one get to use the opening from "Sky King" as a header...)

Very good to hear that Wes' stock is "rising"' as a VP candidate (see LBN for details). He WAS the man, he IS the man, and he WILL BE the man.

Clark supporters, can we have a big "U! Wes! A!" for the (hopeful) VP?

I can see a spot in our field for that 4x8 Kerry/Clark sign, I'm tellin' ya...

2. I like Edwards, but when I think of VP debates
And I picture Edwards v. Cheney

and then Clark v. Cheney

I think the advantage goes to Clark.

7. I do too. And it's really, really time to take the debate right to Cheney.
I adore Edwards and would be very happy to see him on the ticket, but Clark would be incredibly well-equipped to be the point-guy to go after Cheney.

Four-star General vs. Serial Draft Dodger. It really is time to start leveling these accusations at Cheney; we have got to knock him out of his tree. He's the most dangerous man in this entire crooked administration.

10. Of this there is no doubt

Edwards is a fine man, and I truly hope there is a place for him in the Kerry administration. But the stakes are way too high in this election to exclude the military/gravitas component that Clark brings. Imagine the debate - four stars vs. five deferments.

Clark would destroy Cheney, and I would be sitting there with a smile as wide as can be.

11. I think
that he would vastly improve Kerry's chances in the MidWest. It took me a while to warm up to him but MANY here in Kansas were very excited about him long ago. I would be very happy to see him on the ticket.

If he is not the VP, Kerry owes me a dollar.

19. Wes' Message: Family Values Is Helping Them Afford Necessities
is what the Democratic Party and Kerry MUST use.

Clark's message was that at the base of EVERY religion was helping the least among us... strikes at the heart of the GOP's empty Family Values rhetoric.
