Re-elect the Shrub for what he'll do in the future!
Reading an article about the shrub's latest campaign trip through Michigan, I read the following little snippet:

He openly asked for re-election, promising to make America "a safer country, a stronger country and a better country."

Bush said it's important to talk about what he will do for the country, not what he has already done. But his list of priorities sounded familiar: Tax cuts, legal reform, an energy plan and education policies that fight "the soft bigotry of low expectations."

This is from the San Diego Union Tribune. http://customwire.ap.org/dynamic/stories/B/BUSH?SITE=CADIU&SECTION=HOME&TEMPLATE=DEFAULT

You know, if he's asking to be re-elected on him promises of what he intends to do in the future as opposed to what he's already done, then I suppose he thinks the entire country (world) will just forgive him his trespasses.

Heh. Snarky little f(ck will never get it.

1. "Look , I had to create some disasters...
.. in the budget and in foreign policy, before I could fix them." That's a compelling argument.

6. That seems to be exactly the mentality of this administration.
I'm still waiting for Cheney or Rumsfeld to pull out the "to make an omelet, ya gotta break some eggs" line.

Or did they already use that one?

3. "He openly asked for re-election"
As though we need the incumbent to ask for an election in order for an election to take place. And "openly"? Like if he asked for it behind closed doors at the 9/11 commission the American public might not have received one?!

His arrogance knows no boundaries.
