I listened to FAUX News today while off work...
Edited on Mon May-03-04 10:28 PM by linazelle
These people drank the Kool-Aid. They are brain dead. Half of the "experts" look like either death warmed over, or reformed crooks--very unsettling looking people. The "host" of one talk show (I didn't pay attention to names) was wide-eyed as she interviewed Mark Kimmet who cracked a smile with that cartoon character face of his. Then there were the hick studio guests. Even the sound on FAUX is surreal, and then they have all the rolling tickers and sound effects whooshing in and out to commercials. It's a circus.

1. hehe

I'll agree with the "crooks" part, but it would take a lot to convince me any of them have been "reformed"

2. What is scary is that a lot of people get almost all of their news
from Faux?

3. I know some of them

Yes, it is scary. Faux tells them exactly what they want to hear and that is the way they like it. Trying to show one of these people the truth is like holding up a cross to a vampire.

5. My in-laws watch it all the time. Visiting is pure hell although they
know I'm a democrat and now tend to avoid news when I'm around so we don't have to deal with politics.

I used to be able to have reasonable discussions on policy with people I disagree with but right now I feel like my head is about to explode most of the time when dealing with the * supporters.

8. Thank God. I just found it recently because we were finally able
to get the Internet at home - where I spend my days with 3 little kids.

4. you should check out the cafeteria where I work
three TVs, all on FOX, with a cluster of white men gathered around tables to watch. Sometimes I mess with them by getting their first and changing the channel. I'm telling you it's like I took their mommy away. I especially liked it the one time one of them piped up with DO YOU MIND IF WE TURN IT TO FOX? And I said, YES I WOULD MIND; I DON'T CARE MUCH FOR REPUBLCIAN PROPAGANDA. :7

11. My favorite comment: to morons: "Where'd you get THAT from? Fox News?"
You've got to stop watching that crap." and then I roll my eyes. It embarrasses the hell out of them. I make it a point to talk derisively about it to people (I live in a Republican area where a LOT of people watch it).

I've now gotten my brother (former fox news watcher) and hoepfully a few others to think twice about watching that b.s. He claims he no longer watches it because they don't cover the news properly.
