Weird Thought: Could The U.S.Military Be Setting Up The National Guard ???
Or, at least Military Intelligence ala Donald Rumsfeld!

Just a thought that surfaced after watching various factions of our armed forces trying to deal with this torture scandal\tragedy.

Just seemed to feel like, after using and abusing the home guard, some of Rumsfeld's trolls might be not so subtly trying to implicate the 'Weekend Warrior' as not being 'up to snuff' in an actual military deployment. 'Guard is not real military you know, and probably not trained in the ways of the Geneva Convention, dontcha know! :puke:

If this is true, and successful, it helps out the Puke Administration in several ways, no???

And makes me Ballistic in everyway, too!!!

:grr::shrug::grr:

2. Here is how-
The current occupation is comprised of 30% reservists.
Many who are nearing release and have NO intention
of rejoining. (This from my nephew in Afghanistan)
Some months ago, the pentagon offered troops and
reservists financial rewards to stay in. They laughed
in their faces at the offer. Soon the release of the
reserve civilians, caught in this asylum, will reduce the
forces significantly. Therefore, a draft will be necessary
to make up for the loss. Rather than highlight the fact
that these folks are not interested in being over there
one minute longer that they have to- the mis-administration
will use this scandal to spin their mass evacuation
as "well, they are really suited for the job..."
Just watch and see...

4. Think worst case
We cannot use the Guard, we only have profesionals

but the draft is the backbone or suport

Hell we need a DRAFT.

Call me paranoid

For the record I do not think they were set up, but the poor training and leadership is real... has been a problem for years

8. (Sigh)
I hate to see the institution of a draft. I'm way too old to be directly affected by it (unless they start creating a Volksturm like Germany did at the end of WWII...)

But I'm convinced that some powerful players are pushing for one.

3. They've been setting them up all along in Iraq
A friend's husband ranks high in the national guard here. She says the guard have been treated like dirt over there. They are given the frontline duties, they are shafted when it comes to getting medals or rewards, etc. She told me it similar to the way black troops were treated in WWII, being put in all the dangerous places because they were expendable. Second class soldiers.

So, sure, if the military can blame them for this, they will.

Remember, most of these soldiers were following orders. Their crime is taking pictures, leaving a trail. They wil be punished severally for that. But the orders came from higher up.

Ever see Breaker Morant?

5. Hey folks, we are "Through the looking glass" here...
...anything is possible to keep the Bush insanity of world domination going. BushCo is made up of very dangerous people and I would not put anything past the military (brass that is). If the national guard are over in Iraq fighting insurgents, who is here to protect Americans? The military? They are trained to kill on orders and to obey the Commander in Chief. Remember that the military who were supposed to be protecting us on 9-11 were ordered to stand down. They followed their orders until all of the events of 9-11 unfolded. Yes, it is very possible that the National Guard is being controlled and manipulated by the military. To what end or purpose? It is very murky still and so I have no idea, but the fog is beginning to lift.

6. This is going to be the slimiest cover-up and persecution of
the lowest level of the military and all the higher up's are going to fly free and clear and probably with rewards if they operate like the FBI.

Pitiful - Harry Truman said the buck stops here.
Kennedy took the blame for the Bay of Pigs (he believed the CIA when they told him the Cubans were ready to rebel and that the invasion would be supported - they set-up him up for failure and he didn't tell it like it was, he took the blame.)

Now lily-livered chiefs and wanna-be's are going to pass the blame DOWN to the lowest levels instead of someone at the top taking the blame. The contractors will walk - it's probably in their contract that they will not be blamed for anything or sued. Anyone know what their contract says?

9. The Thought That Occurred To Me...
was that while Rumsfeld and * say they are 'disgusted' and want to 'get to the bottom of it all', they seem to be laying blame at a rather low level, while General Janis is pointing the finger higher up... At our favorite oxymoron: Military Intelligence!!!

I can see Rummy and his Office of Special Fascists encouraging this crap, and then using the Guard, or the Grunts, as scapegoats for the whole mess.

Which is why if we win this election, we need to have Kerry, and at least one Dem empowered Chamber of Congress investigating everything form Florida 2000 to 9\11 to Iraq War Redux!!!

Or I'LL be out in D.C. throwing my Kerry Buttons over some fence, and burning my Democratic Party Membership Card!!!
