What Democrats are closest to you
in terms of ideology? What direction would you most like to see the Dems in congress move in? Personally, I like Nancy Pelosi, Dennis Kucinich, John Conyers, Maxine Waters, Jim McDermott, Henry Waxman ect. The very progressive Democrats in the congress.

1. The closest member of Congress to me isn't a Democrat...
Vermont's Indpendent Representative, Bernie Sanders. IMHO, he represents what the Democratic Party should actually strive to be.

7. Great Choice!
I never miss lunch with Bernie on the Thom Hartmann show on Fridays. He represents everything I believe a Democratic society should be.

3. Russ Feingold, hands down
The only senator to vote against the Patriot Act, fighting for campaign finance reform, one of the only politicians who is actually guided by the principals of democracy rather than the pocketbooks of lobbyists.

Go Russ!
