Ohio Republicans can't think of anything to "Ask the President" ???
Just saw Chris Jansing (MSNBC)doing a piece about the Bush "Ask the President" event in Ohio.

She went up to a few folks waiting in line (overweight and white) and asked them what they would like to "Ask the President"

The first guy was stumped - he couldn't think of anything...just happy to be standing in line...

Next a woman - "No - I just support the president..."

How pathetic!!!

5. Yeah, I dealt with one of these 'people' recently.
She prefaced every single sentence, no matter what it was, with 'well, I'm a Republican, and I'm all about Bush, so ...'

Like that somehow lends any credibility to a discussion with someone who'd have to have a lobotomy to vote for a Republican? I don't think so. But Ohio Republicans seem to be attached to stuff like Rush Limbaugh with some kind of mystical umbilicus. She was trying to tell me about Bush's heroic efforts to get better benefits for the military that Kerry -- vicious partisan that he is -- voted against. Claimed they said it on CNN. I'm guessing that's actually Limbaugh or O'Reilly speak, myself.

That's why I shrug when people play Ohio as a battleground state -- I hear so much of that bullshit coming out of people's mouths around here, it's hard for me to imagine any place in Ohio where it isn't that way (though apparently there are some). Ignorance is truly bliss, I guess.

7. "Can I have boysenberry syrup on my pancakes, Mr. President?"
I mean, seriously, what WOULD you ask him...when confronted with that manifestation of manly courage and Godly magnificance, who WOULDN'T choke in the home stretch?

9. Funny
I was in Cleveland 2 weeks ago, where I lived until LTV Steel shut down almost 3 years ago. I went to see friends, some of whom have worked 2 jobs at a time for years. They were out of work. Laborors, Steelworkers, Carpenters, Police and Firefighters. No work. Mayor Jane Campbell laid off 700 cops and firemen. ISG which bought LTV cut thousands of jobs. No one can think of a question to ask the President.

I guess everyone has these "new economy" jobs like manufacturing cheeseburgers and trading on E-Bay.

I'm now in Florida going through a 9 month job interview. I'm running for Congress in the 9th District. And I have a few questions I want to ask the President.
