4. This is another question that can't be yes or no!
I actually think they were probably following orders, but that doesn't matter. As I understand it, since the early 80's, if you are given an order that you believe is wrong or against the law (any law), you are to disobey and go to the next level comander.

Looks to me like nobody did that!

The poll is down as the question of the day.

You do not do something this stupid unless you were order to do or had done these types of punishments as part of the campaign to break the detainees. The lawyer for one of the soldiers and the wife of another solider both stated that these stunts were used by the Military intelligence officials to break down these detainees. This is one reason why Hersh evidently thinks that this is going to be a huge story.
