OHIO - lest we forget
Crosby Stills Nash Young - Four Dead In Ohio Lyrics

Tin soldiers and Nixon's comin'.
We're finally on our own.
This summer I hear the drummin'.
Four dead in Ohio.

Gotta get down to it.
Soldiers are gunning us down.
Should have been done long ago.
What if you knew her and
Found her dead on the ground?
How can you run when you know?

Na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na.
Na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na.
Na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na.
Na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na.

Gotta get down to it.
Soldiers are cutting us down.
Should have been done long ago.
What if you knew her and
Found her dead on the ground?
How can you run when you know?

Tin soldiers and Nixon's comin'.
We're finally on our own.
This summer I hear the drummin'.
Four dead in Ohio.
Four dead in Ohio.
Four dead in Ohio.
Four dead in Ohio.
Four dead in Ohio.
Four dead in Ohio.
Four dead in Ohio.
Four dead in Ohio.
Four dead in Ohio

1. How many soldiers...
...died that day? Remember it all, or forget it.

14. Not surprising.
Never mind then. Please continue to stumble along blindly.

12. OK. I'll bite. Why not?
You want to compare armed soldiers with unarmed helpless college kids? The soldiers were doing their jobs to the best of their abilities. They died because the "enemy" killed them.

The kids at Kent were killed and wounded by OUR guys. National Guardsmen, pledged to protect our country. Those kids were murdered for speaking their minds.

You comparison doesn't equate.

(I really don't know why I'm bothering...)

13. So don't bother.
That would be my point after all. Either remember the whole truth, or don't bother.

15. Nice dig, but no answer.
Tell me, O Great Dark One, how your comparison is relevant. I left the door open but you instead chose to say nothing.

To be honest, I wasn't surprised.

Let's spell it out: How can you compare the murders of unarmed innocent college kids with the killings of trained soldiers doing their duty?

Notice that I have not demeaned the service of those soldiers. They did their duty, and should be remembered with all the honor due to them. The young people at Kent State were fucking murdered. No comparison, d00d.

16. Yeah, I pretty much gave up when I saw the types of answers...
I was gonna get.

Some people just aren't happy unless they're complaining about something.

His 2 replies to my posts above indicated how he was going to answer a question. And you got the same result as I did.

21. I didn't compare them
I simply insisted that someone recognize the other related deaths from that day. I haven't demeaned that deaths of the Kent State 4 either.

5. Let me speak for that statement
I assure you that the water is boiling and the steam is starting to make the tea kettle whistle......

Slowly but surely more and more of us are paying attention and waking up.

8. I put KENT STATE 1970 - REMEMBER
on my calendar at work - in big, red letters.

No one had said a word about it all day, but that's not surprising, as anything not employment oriented is seldom spoken of. I had numerous people ask about it, but not one knew what I meant. Maybe those who knew what I meant didn't feel the need to comment.

it was history to be thought of. Not current events.
