Do Republicans feel stuck with Bush II?
Bush I probably would have dumped Dan Quayle in 1992 if he could have done so without any fallout, but for various reasons probably felt he had to keep him as VP. Many Republcian voters are unhappy with Bush, but I guess the party feels they have to support the incumbent. I wonder where that would lead.

2. they are caught between a shrub and a bush
many won't admit that they are "disappointed" with bush*, it's a matter of blind pride and a refusal to admit that bush* is responsible and should be held accountable for the messes he created

4. Many moderate republicans (even some in congress) want * to loose.
They think bush has taken the party off the deep end. Bush has done little for the libertarian type conservative and lately has played hard to the religious right. This has infuriated a lot of them.

These people would rather see Bush get beaten, so that the neocons, theocrats, and other loonies will get beaten. Then they'll have a right center party again.

5. They're stuck with his stupid ass whether they like it or not.
However they do not have to vote for him. I suspect there are more than a few disgruntled people on the true conservative side.
